Conspiracy Barbie

I love a good conspiracy theory.  A GOOD one, not the Avril Lavigne one or flat earthers (They're just crazy people ;) )

Today sparked a bit of conspiracy in my mind though, everyone was complaining about being tired, like they hadn't slept well last night.  It's a pattern I've noticed a fair bit recently too.

Obviously, my brain went straight to aliens...maybe all of my work colleagues are being abducted....maybe there's a government test going on at night that disturbs your sleep in the area....maybe we all just had a heavy weekend....maybe it's just Monday...but it could still be the aliens.

Breaking News!...Man wears mask on Halloween

Yeah, really.  The Scotsman must have been digging deep for stories yesterday so they actually bothered to publish this story  Maybe they had forgotten the date of Halloween?

On the other side of the country however, the clock in Glasgow Central station was dressed up for Halloween for weeks and nobody even seemed to notice!  I, of course, took a photo like the stupid tourist that I am!

Don't Panic...Yet

Apparently the zombie apocalypse is not yet upon us.  Says the CDC.  Has the panic and rumour really been enough for them to make an announcement like that?...well, personally I'd say no, the stories of the recent outbreak of bizarre crimes and hazmat team investigations across the US (mostly centered around Miami) haven't been widely reported or hyped in the media.  There has been some viral activity of the stories, but nothing anyone was really taking that seriously...so are they really trying to tell us something different?

Fear not however dear readers!....I think that thanks to a recent TV ad that I have already identified the "lead zombie" (they have those right? ;-) ) .......this woman has not aged anywhere near enough in 30+ years that she's been popping up on my TV screen!

Time Travel or Crazies? hmmmm...

One of the more interesting stories in the news I spotted today was this article about a "Time Traveller" spotted in a 1928 Chaplin movie. The person in question does, to me anyway, appear to be holding a device and speaking. Its got me a little intrigued, but the cynic in me can't help thinking that maybe it is just a hoax.

Doppleganger!

I'm Freaked out. I seem to always have dopplegangers, or lookalikes. People I know often see "me" wandering about in places I've never been to. One person even said "I" was driving a car that pulled up next to my car at a roundabout!
I'm pretty used to this now, I pass it off as just having one of those faces.

Tonight however I have found a doppleganger in Name.. Twisted Barbies are taking over the world!!! WE'RE DOOOMED!!!

Ok, so I googled myself. I know, Its sad, but I wanted to see if I came up in the search. (Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!) and up popped a blog written by Twisted Barbie, but isn't me...

I'm not sure if I can cope!...what to do?!...do I turn all Dave Gorman and start a search to find all Twisted Barbies across the planet??... do I just pretend I didn't notice??...what if someone gets us confused!!...

I feel the neurosis setting in...

Coincidences

I've lived in Edinburgh for 4 years now and so far only one of my friends have managed to get up here and visit me. I'm not worried about that, we are still all very good friends. I got an email a few weeks back from Sam, who is coming up to perform in the festival with his theatre group from Norwich which is pretty cool for a start, but today I found out the name of his show and that its actually being held in the complex of my work!

I really have no excuse to miss it now. As with many festival shows its on at a stupid time (3:15) but at least I can sneak along in a late lunch break.
